Previous winner of Conservation Green Keeper of the Year and former staff member, Adam Olliver, led many of our ecology initiatives across the 27-holes. Adam improved the course to make it an ideal habitat for a variety of species, including the introduction of protection areas for ground-nesting skylarks. The work saw success with several pairs of Skylark breeding on the course, helping to boost the numbers of this red-listed species. He also made and installed a swift box, an owl box, and a duck house on the course, which will continue to be used for many more years.
He is also an accomplished photographer, documenting the different wildlife seen around the course. Part of his collection can be seen on our “wildlife gallery” in the clubhouse, but to see more of his portfolio and the diverse species found at Weybrook Park, please visit Adam’s Instagram page www.instagram.com/therobinswhisperer.
